Amadie brings more than a decade of experience in online communications and strategy to help progressive nonprofit organizations make the best use of new online tools and media to achieve their marketing and communications goals. As marketing consultant and client manager with Beaconfire Consulting, she works with clients to develop online advocacy and fundraising plans, improve online communications, and use social media to reach out to new and diverse audiences.
Prior to joining Beaconfire, Amadie was director of the Virtual ULI project at the Urban Land Institute, a multi-phase effort to transform the Institute's online presence from a static website to a dynamic online communication and networking tool. As director, Amadie led a cross-functional group to develop a roadmap for meeting the project goals and to create a site that represents the diverse range of ULI activities. She led the integration of social networking technologies into ULI's communication strategy, founding the company's blog; establishing the Institute's presence on sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube; and spearheading the development of ULI's private social networking tool. She has previously worked as the webmaster for the National Association for Home Care and Hospice and as managing editor for AECdirect, a portal site for the architecture, engineering, and construction industry.
Amadie has a BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a dual MA in communications and international relations from Boston University.

"The last pre-show registration list I received had about 430 names on it, but I know that they generally receive a number of onsite registrations. Also, this list didn't include speakers, exhibitors, etc."
"I have the syrup for sno cones! With the uncertainty in numbers, it may be best to brown bag it (so to speak) -- especially since the registration cost is so staggeringly high (NOT)."
"I was scheduled to present two sessions at the Tech conference, so I put both titles in the schedule -- would love some feedback as to which one people think will be more interesting/valuable to UnTech attendees."
