I work solo and with Leadership Outfitters helping associations, nonprofits and businesses learn how to build meaningful online and face-to-face communities where members can connect with others and develop relationships; share ideas and discuss challenges; develop skills and knowledge; have access to news, information and resources; work together to make a positive impact; spend their limited time wisely and effectively; and, have fun.

I moved to Raleigh NC in the summer of 2009 from Sacramento CA where for more than four years I was the Director of Member Services at the California Building Industry Association (CBIA). Prior to my work at CBIA, I was the Assistant Director of Associate Member Programs among other roles at the National Association of Home Builders for five years. In January 2010 I received the Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives.

Before entering the association management industry, I was a restaurant general manager for ten years, as well as the operations manager of Georgetown University’s English as a Foreign Language school for three years. I have a BA in History from Georgetown and I'm a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the Nonprofit Technology Network and the Association Executives of North Carolina.
