"Followed the above advice, downloaded Silverlight, etc. The video stream continued to believe I had not downloaded the plugin. Gave it up. Not in the least Mac friendly, let alone non-techie friendly. Sigh!"

#untech10 Firefox doesn't like Webex, & vice versa, got into conf. on Safari. Neat techno., content maybe less useful to me than others.
