Rick Johnston CAE

Rick is a Senior Web Strategist for Ironworks Consulting in Richmond (Glen Allen), Virginia. He is also the Team Leader for Ironworks' association group practice. Since joining Ironworks in July 2005, Rick has worked on Web strategy with such clients as the American Cancer Society, American College of Physicians, American Institute of Architects, School Nutrition Association, ISACA, The Nature Conservancy, PBS, National Wildlife Federation, Kenney Center, Infectious Disease Society of America, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

Rick served in an executive capacity with the American Diabetes Association from 1991 to June 2005, most recently as National Vice President, Constituent Relations (web and call center operations). With more than 25 years of management experience in nonprofit organizations, he has worked for the American Lung Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Natural Resources Council of Maine. He has also served in volunteer leadership roles with several charitable organizations including President of the Board of Directors for the following: New England Health Education Association, Bangor-Brewer TB & Health Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kennebec Valley and the Old Bridge Estates Community Association.
